Sweden and breastfeeding
by: Anonymous

Hi!

I'm not sure why breastfeeding in public is so accepted in Sweden. I guess it is the combination of breastfeeding being promoted and supported, moms usually staying home for one year at least and the tradition - at least earlier of for example topless sunbathing and similar. (Not so common any more, but breasts aren't a huge deal.)

My bikini body..., well, I'm not so sure it was really my body - rather my desperation for some sun... ;-D But I do get quite skinny from breastfeeding!

What a great trip!

I really enjoyed reading about your Egypt trip! Although I have to ask (with a bit of jealousy) how you had the bikini body with a nursing baby? LOL
That is interesting that no one cared in Egypt, but you were frowned at in the Netherlands (I would have thought they were a little more laid back there-maybe just about sex & drugs?)
Why is Sweden so open to breastfeeding?
